Is NLP manipulation?

It's a legitimate question. The answer depends on the intention, the context and the ethics with which language, relationship and influence are used.

In this project, NLP isn't presented as a tool for controlling other people, but as a way to better observe perception, language, internal states and communication.

Every form of communication influences. The difference is whether that influence is used to create more clarity, choice and responsibility, or to reduce the other person's freedom. In the first case, we're in the territory of conscious communication. In the second, the problem isn't the technique — it's the intention.

That's why the pages in this project keep coming back to rapport, calibration, feedback, communicative responsibility and respect for the other person. The quality of a tool also depends on who uses it, and how.
