Cookie Policy
This page describes which cookies and similar technologies this site uses, what they're for, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site saves on your device while you visit it. Some are necessary for the site to work, others (like analytics cookies) collect information about how you use it, and are only set if you consent.
2. Technical cookies
The site does not install its own technical profiling cookies. To make the consent banner work, your choice (accepted/declined) is saved in your browser via local storage, not via a cookie — it stays only on your device, is never sent to us or to third parties, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's browsing data.
The site's hosting provider (Netlify) may set its own technical cookies, necessary for the infrastructure to function (for example, to balance traffic across servers). These cookies are outside our control and are not used to profile you.
3. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
If you consent via the banner shown on your first visit, the site activates Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate form, how it's used (most visited pages, visitor origin). Google Analytics may set cookies named things like _ga and _ga_*, typically lasting up to 2 years.
Until you consent, these cookies are not set and Google Analytics isn't even loaded.
4. How to manage your preferences
You can accept or decline analytics cookies on your first visit, via the banner that appears at the bottom of the page. You can change your mind at any time by clicking "Cookie preferences", the link at the bottom of every page on the site, which reopens the banner.
You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings, at any time.
5. Third-party cookies
Some links on the site lead to external services (for example Amazon for book purchases, or social networks). Once you visit them, those sites' own cookie policies apply, which we don't control.
6. Contact
For any question about this Cookie Policy, you can write via the Contact page. For details on personal data processing, see also the Privacy Policy.
